Twelve weeks from strong engineer to certified FDE or FDEE, with real partner environments, not toy projects.
In short: FDE Factory's Cohort 02 program is 12 weeks and teaches Forward Deployed Engineers and Eval Engineers to embed in enterprises, ship governed agentic systems, and pass partner-graded production assessments.

Program structure
Cohort 02 runs four phases over twelve weeks. Every phase includes hands-on work inside partner stacks, not slide-only modules.
- Weeks 1–3: Embed & discover: domain research, client-style interviews, use case selection
- Weeks 4–6: Ingest: MCP integration, context layers, knowledge unification
- Weeks 7–10: Build: agent orchestration, eval integration, tuning in live environments
- Weeks 11–12: Run: secure go-live, monitoring, partner-graded capstone
Two tracks
Track A certifies Forward Deployed Engineers (builders). Track B certifies Forward Deployed Eval Engineers (production eval and compliance). Both share the same embed method; capstone emphasis differs.
Admission
Cohort 02 accepts 40 seats. Application, async readiness test, and panel interview. We select for agency, risk-taking, and resilience, traits the role runs on.
Cohort 02 syllabus overview
- Weeks 1–3: Discovery: stakeholder interviews, workflow mapping, use case selection with partner mentors
- Weeks 4–6: Context: MCP connectors, retrieval design, permission-aware knowledge layers in partner VPCs
- Weeks 7–10: Build: multi-agent orchestration, tool use, guardrails, FDEE eval integration
- Weeks 11–12: Run: production deployment, monitoring, partner-graded capstone presentation
Partner-graded capstone
Every Cohort 02 project is judged on one question: would this survive inside a real organization? Partners grade security fit, eval coverage, operability, and handoff, not demo polish alone.
